
The following policies are in operation in the interest of passenger saftey and comfort and service efficiency. These policies reflect customer preferences from an extensive consultation process.

Pets & Animal Policy
All pets/animals must be carried in a suitable pet cage on the floor (except assistance animals). |

Bicycle Policy
Bicycles are carried free of charge on all local services. FOUR bicycles only permitted per train. (Bicycles will not be carried before 0930hrs Monday to Friday) |

No Smoking Policy
It is not permitted to smoke in any NI Railways building or on board any train. |
|
|

Penalty Fare Policy
- Passengers must be in possession of a valid ticket, or authorisation to travel.
- If you board a train without a ticket it is your responsibility to obtain one from the Conductor without delay.
- The Penalty Fare is £10 plus the full single fare for the journey made.
- Failure to comply may result in a prosecution.

Alcohol Policy
It is not permitted to carry alcohol on any NI Railways local service.

Trespass Policy
No loitering or trespassing.

CCTV
CCTV cameras are installed on trains and at selected locations. Images are recorded and monitored for your safety and to help prevent crime.

NI Railways reserves the right not to carry any passengers who are in breach of these policies, cause discomfort or otherwise be a nuisance to other rail users or cause damage to railway property.
