You will provide an effective and efficient administrative/clerical support service within the depot.
Essential criteria: 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent in English, Maths and one other subject or, alternatively be able to demonstrate at least 5 years relevant experience in a similar post. Experience of dealing with customer enquiries both face to face and by telephone. Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Email). RSA Stage 1 & 2 Typing/Word Processing (Parts 1 & 2) or equivalent. Good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work unsupervised and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work additional hours as and when required.
Desirable criteria: Basic knowledge of MS Access.

Working as part of a team you will supervise cleaning at all NIR Train Cleaning locations ensuring that the cleaning is of a consistently high standard. You will provide support for cleaning staff at all locations ensuring there is an adequate supply of approved cleaning materials and equipment.
Essential Criteria: Minimum of 3 years experience within a railway cleaning or industrial cleaning environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Good organisational and time management skills. Flexible attitude to work and working hours with ability to work shifts including night-shift. Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Criteria: 2 years previous supervisory experience in an office, industrial or train cleaning environment. Relevant qualifications in cleaning systems and cleaning material control, such as COSHH or BICS. Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and legislative requirements in relation to cleaning standards.

Job Purpose
Offer service to the general public to standards required by the Bus Companies as defined in the Passengers Charter.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The following reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a comprehensive description of all tasks.
1. Operate local Bus Services, Express, school & Contract work.
2. Operate vehicle in accordance with route and time schedules.
3. Ensure the health and safety of passengers.
4. Ensure the safe conveyance of students to & from schools/educational
establishments.
5. Communicate with passengers and operate passenger comfort systems.
6. Uplifting and dropping off passengers to destinations.
7. Collect fares, issue tickets and pre-purchased tickets.
8. Account of ticket sales and passengers carried.
9. Put money in night safe/cash handling machines where appropriate.
10. Report any accidents/faults and fill in daily record book.
11. Inform Inspector or Yard staff of any cleaning, fuelling or maintenance that needs to be carried out on vehicle.
