You will plan, design and build branded and functional microsites within the Translink website for company products and services, and also provide graphic/interactive support for the current Translink corporate website.

Essential Criteria: Degree in a relevant design or IT related discipline plus 1 year postgraduate experience in a relevant field OR 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths, plus 3 years proven experience in a relevant workfield.  Good general IT skills.  Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.  Experience of: Adobe Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver (or similar) development tools; vector drawing applications (eg. Illustrator, Freehand).  Flexible attitude to work and working hours.

Desirable Criteria: Degree in Graphic Interactive Design or similar.  Experience of design of stand alone websites and development of full interactive Flash website and animation.  General website support experience.  Practical experience of Javascript, ActionScript or similar web languages.  Experience of using layout design applications such as Quark or Indesign.  Working knowledge of Macintosh.  Proven experience of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Job Purpose

Offer service to the general public to standards required by the Bus Companies as defined in the Passengers Charter.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The following reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a comprehensive description of all tasks.

1. Operate local Bus Services, Express, school & Contract work.
2. Operate vehicle in accordance with route and time schedules.
3. Ensure the health and safety of passengers.
4. Ensure the safe conveyance of students to & from schools/educational
establishments.
5. Communicate with passengers and operate passenger comfort systems.
6. Uplifting and dropping off passengers to destinations.
7. Collect fares, issue tickets and pre-purchased tickets.
8. Account of ticket sales and passengers carried.
9. Put money in night safe/cash handling machines where appropriate.
10. Report any accidents/faults and fill in daily record book.
11. Inform Inspector or Yard staff of any cleaning, fuelling or maintenance that needs to be carried out on vehicle.
